* Create a focal point of the room and arrange furniture around it. Some rooms in the center will function as an existing fireplace or window, and in some it will be something you bring in the room such as TV.
* Use the furniture to create conversation areas. People should be able to comfortably talk to each other without straining your neck or cries. If the room is very large you may want to create several different areas of conversation.
* Do not forget about traffic flow. Leave enough room for people to walk around the furniture so that they can easily get from one side of the room to another.
* Pull the furniture away from walls. Like all the furniture back touching the wall is one of the biggest mistakes people make in the living room. If the tracks are closer together will create a more intimate setting. While the backs of the pieces are ready, there’s no reason to show them.
